Mrs. Douang Nga, Owner

With her husband Mr. Alom, Mrs. Douang Nga created Thavonsouk Bungalows and helped to put Vang Vieng on the tourist map. Fluent in English and French, they are always keen to advise on travel throughout Laos and to swap reminiscences of years spent in Europe as well as their long experience of working with INGOs in Vientiane. Mr. Alom is well known as a classic car enthusiast, and his gleaming vehicles can be spotted in the garage here as well as zooming along the local roads. He is a superb singer and guitarist who enjoys entertaining guests with songs form the 60s and 70s. His talents have been passed onto their daughter Aluna, who is a well known Lao musician with a busy touring schedule - but she always makes time to spend in this lovely relaxing setting.
